Committed to providing the highest level of patient satisfaction our 32-Bed Medical-Surgical-Oncology-Telemetry unit that includes 12 monitored beds provides unique cross-training opportunities for both experienced and new graduate nurses within this one unit. Outstanding teamwork with low turnover this unit provides nurses the opportunity to work 12 hour shifts with nurse to patient ratios of 1:4 on days/nights with a Clinical Leader to provide support throughout both shifts. We are seeking Registered Nurses (RN) to coordinate supervise and implement patient care based on competence professional expertise knowledge and evidence-based practice.
As our Oncology Charge Nurse at Dignity Health youll oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients. Every interaction is an opportunity to improve your understanding of a patients needs the needs of your nursing team or the needs of your unit. Youll advocate for your fellow nurses as you support them in reaching their full potential which aligns with your departments operational goals and objectives.
To thrive in this role you need to be accountable and confident. Youre an excellent communicator in 1:1 interactions and in front of groups. Its also important for you to be comfortable holding tough conversations as you are responsible for the performance of your people and your unit.
