Life Care Centers of America is seeking an experienced Division Director of Maintenance to assist and auditour Skilled Nursing Facilities in Washington Oregon Idaho and Arizona to ensure compliance conduct hiring and manage projects. To be successful in this position you MUST:
- Have strong leadership experience in managing healthcare facilities and maintenance staff.
- Have maintenance background in healthcare facilities including electrical plumbing and HVAC.
- Must have knowledge & experience withFire Marshal Life Safety survey process/Fire Marshal Annual Life Safety inspections.
- Be able to travel to the 36 facilities throughout the year especially to manage projects. Travel expenses will be paid by the company.
- Have facility project management experience particularly in healthcare.

Position Summary
Division Maintenance Director is responsible for assisting and auditing facilities throughout the division to ensure maintenance departments at each facility operate in accordance with all applicable laws regulations and Life Care standards.
Education Experience and Licensure Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years maintenance experience
- Proven knowledge of various mechanical electrical and plumbing systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledgeable of local building codes and ordinances
Specific Job Requirements
- Valid drivers license in current State with satisfactory driving record per Life Care standards
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeable of maintenance practices and procedures as well as the laws regulations and guidelines governingmaintenance functions in the post-acute care facility
- Ability to implement and interpret the programs goals objectives policies and procedures of the maintenancedepartment
- Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to: general maintenance responsibilitiessupervisory responsibilities patient rights and safety and sanitation
- Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Cares Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code ofConduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Promotes a culture of integrity maintains an open door policy and does not participate in or allow retaliation against thosewho report good faith concerns
- Actively implements the compliance program and Code of Conduct and ensures 100% participation by department staff
Essential Functions
- Plan train supervise and direct maintenance directors as to proper procedures
- Train facility management with respect to proper maintenance standards and procedures
- Evaluate TELS for facilities to make sure tasks are being done correctly and on time
- Evaluate and train on proper HVAC maintenance
- Evaluate train and audit with respect to compliance with Life Safety procedures
- Assist with emergency portable generator hook-ups
- Analyze reliability issues
- Inspect equipment/systems regular for proper functioning and safety
- Check building systems and recommend repairs or replacement as needed
- Assist with oversight with respect to repairs and installations
- Plan coordinate manage and budget for physical plant improvements at facilities
- Recruit select hire evaluate train counsel and supervise maintenance staff
- Create and maintain relations with service providers and contractors and propose changes when appropriate
- Assist facilities to effectively manage and operate within budget
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude
- Assist in the evacuation of patients
- Demonstrate dependable regular attendance
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicate and function productively in an interdisciplinary team
- Sit stand bend lift push pull stoop walk reach and move intermittently during working hours
- Read write speak and understand the English language
- Lift 35 lbs. floor to waist lift 35 lbs. waist to shoulder lift and carry 35 lbs. and push/pull 35 lbs.
