Job Description

Position Summary:

Xylem is seeking a Field Service Technician to install service and maintain water purification equipment for our customers across Houston TX and surrounding areas. This position will involve work in environments that include wastewater systems which can include exposure to unpleasant odors and conditions.

We understand this may not be for everyonebut if you are driven by purpose and passionate about solving real-world challenges this work plays a direct role in protecting public health and the environment.

The role includes hands-on fieldwork using a company service vehicle and offers standard day-shift hours with opportunities for overtime and occasional evening/weekend work. Candidates with backgrounds in HVAC plumbing electrical work or diesel/mechanical systems are highly encouraged to apply.

What Youll Do:

  • Install maintain and service water purification equipment

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical system issues

  • Identify and resolve safety concerns on both company and customer-owned equipment

  • Provide direct customer support and represent Xylem on-site

  • Work across multiple customer sites and technologies including wastewater systems

  • Maintain and care for company tools vehicles and equipment

  • Promote a strong culture of safety accountability and teamwork

  • Work both independently and in team environments

Travel Requirements:

  • Daily/local travel to customer sites within the Houston area

  • Occasional overnight travel: approximately 12 times per month typically 23 days per trip

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 02 years of technical experience (1 year preferred)

  • Prior customer service experience required

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and smart devices

  • Strong troubleshooting critical thinking and communication skills

  • Clean driving record and ability to safely operate a company service vehicle

  • Able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen

Compensation & Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $26$30/hour. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors such as skills experience and work location.
