As a Behavioral Health Assistant at Horizon you will

• Assist with patient admissions and discharges.
• Perform hourly building rounds to ensure patient safety.
• Complete room searches throughout the facility.
• Administer toxicology screenings.
• Supervise wellness and family group activities.
• Guide patients through the challenges of recovery.
• Address patient behaviors using a patient-centered approach.
• Transport patients to medical appointments or other facilities and back as needed.

We cant wait to learn more about you! Here are a few specifics of what youll need for the job:

• An Associates degree and 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience includes previous work in a behavioral health setting or customer service role.

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Relevant experience includes previous work in a behavioral health setting or customer service role.
• A clean valid NYS drivers license and three years of driving experience as a licensed driver is required.

Location:

This position is located at our detox and stabilization center at 291 Elm St Buffalo NY.

Hours:

This position is full-time from Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm.

Compensation:

Horizon is consistently evaluating our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. The range of pay for this position is $18.45 - $19.50. Starting pay may be impacted based on experience and education. Youll earn an additional 25% shift differential for any work hours that fall between the hours of 7pm-7am. Compensation adjustments are evaluated annually.

Physical demands associated with this position include:

• Stationary posture with frequent standing/sitting alternation.
• Mobility between nearby worksites and within facilities.
• Mobility required involving repetitive wrist hand and finger movements.
• Handling light duties moving objects up to 20 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Occasional operation of company owned motor vehicles.
