Tube Laser Set-up / Operator

JOB DESCRIPTION:
The tube laser operator is responsible for setting up operating and maintaining the tube laser.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Setup operate and monitor programs on the tube laser
- Read work orders to determine programming requirements.
- Perform consistent and accurate quality checks to detect and prevent part defects.
- Load and unload material.
- Accurately complete paperwork for work orders inspections and material storage.
- Troubleshoot cut issues and know how to fix them.
- Perform prescribed & preventative maintenance.
- Find pull and load material into the machine
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- Strong work ethic
- High School diploma or GED required
- Team player with a positive can do attitude
- Basic mathematical skills and ability to perform precise measurements using a caliper/precision measuring tools
- Blueprint Reading
THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS A PLUS BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Previous tube laser set-up operating and/or programming experience.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A certificate from college or technical school is a plus.

This is a full time position in the competitive and challenging metal manufacturing field. The pay range/rate of pay for this position may vary depending on a number of factors including but not limited to the position offered location education training and/or experience.
