What Youll Do:
As a Dental Assistant you will workto enhance the daily operations of the clinic by providing excellent care and communication to our patients. As aDental Assistant you will:
- Prepares sterilizes disinfects and maintains dental equipment instruments and supplies.
- Collects and records patient health histories take impressions and x-rays.
- Ensures patient comfort during procedures.
- Prepares dental materials (cements amalgam composite impression materials etc.).
- Completes charting of treatment information in the patients dental notes from the doctor as directed.
- Assist doctor in management of medical and dental emergencies.
- Cleans/polishes removable devices fabricate temporary restorations custom trays study models.
- Delivers postoperative and general oral care instructions to patient.
- Maintains infection control procedures patient privacy and professional interactions with patients and staff.
- Assist administrative team with customer service functions.
- Present treatment plans to patients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting Program or dental assistant experience preferred
- Previous customer service or office experience
- Proficiency or the ability to become proficient within 90 days in dental terminology and dental software for charting treatment planning clinical notes etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Foster a positive attitude and be a team player
Patient Care Hours:Monday throughThursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
