Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to connect women and families impacted by substance use and justice involvement. This person will serve as the primary contact for initiating justice-involved services. This person will conduct screenings and referrals complete intakes connect individuals to care and support transitions to/from care. This person will be the primary contact for initiating justice-involved services and joining inter/multidisciplinary team meetings. This person will work alongside justice-involved agencies (jails prisons family court/ CPS recovery courts) and SUD to promote a smooth transition into services.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
1. Knowledge of SUD in adults 2. Knowledge of record keeping and administrative duties 3. Skill in assessment case management advocacy and individual and group therapy. 4. Knowledge of the needs and concerns of women including some exposure to issues such as childhood and adult trauma domestic violence sexual assault substance abuse. pregnancy/parenting and legal and economic difficulties. 5. Ability to work with women from varying incomes ages ethnic/racial groups lifestyles. 6. Knowledge of residential environments 7. Knowledge of supervisory role especially with paraprofessionals.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Preferred History knowledge and exposure to social work or counseling experience; or experience with the substance abuse population gender-specific treatment child and family counseling justice-involved population and a perinatal setting preferred. An ideal candidate will have exceptional organizational skills time management skills charting and documentation and ability to address clinical needs in a timely manner.
