Electrical Panel Design Engineer
Location: Neath South Wales
Full-Time Permanent
Department: Design & Systems Manufacturing
About the Role
As an Electrical Panel Design Engineer youll be at the heart of our design and manufacturing processcreating bespoke control panel solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. From concept to commissioning youll work closely with project managers engineers and workshop teams to deliver high-quality compliant and cost-effective designs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design detailed schematics layouts and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Select and specify components such as PLCs HMIs VSDs relays and sensors.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards safety codes and regulations.
- Collaborate with engineers to integrate control panels into larger systems.
- Support manufacturing and commissioning processes including troubleshooting.
- Assist with project estimations quotations and technical documentation.
- Conduct design reviews and validation tests to ensure reliability and accuracy.
What Were Looking For
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in LV switchboard and MCC design.
- Strong background in control panel design within industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and knowledge of electrical standards.
- Knowledge of protection relay panels is a plus.
