The Supply Chain Planner oversees production planning and inventory deployment for designated product lines. Using analytical and quantitative methods this role ensures optimal inventory flow across the supply chain to minimize redeployment control transportation costs and maximize order fulfillment. The Planner develops and executes master plans aligned with inventory strategies to support market initiatives and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supply Planning: Manage end-to-end supply planning with contract manufacturers to meet service inventory and financial goals.
- Lead MRP activities for internal production facilities ensuring material availability aligns with demand.
- Maintain accurate SAP master data and perform routine data audits to ensure reliable planning.
- Coordinate with three manufacturing locations to maintain stock levels and streamline planning.
- Champion process improvements and standardization across plants for better supply chain efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Demand Team to balance supply and demand and manage trade-offs.
- Support new product launches and phase-outs minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Oversee excess inventory processes-coordinate secondary sales DC transfers or repacking strategies.
- Utilize SAP for creating purchase and stock transport orders; ensure data accuracy for effective inventory management.
- Recommend enhancements to improve service reduce costs and elevate execution.
- Customer Alignment: Partner with cross-functional teams (Customer Service Sales Ops QA etc.) to manage supply in cases of demand surges shortages or special projects (e.g. unique packaging).
- Maintain a 98.5% order fulfillment rate to prevent customer shortages.
- Participate in weekly planning meetings to communicate global supply status and document updates
- Bachelors degree in Business or a related field.
- Minimum 3 5 years in supply chain planning.
- Relevant experience in areas such as purchasing demand planning inventory management production scheduling or distribution planning.
- Familiarity with ERP/DRP/MRP/MPS systems preferred.
- Strong quantitative analytical and mathematical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented self-motivated with strong project management skills.
- Effective communication and relationship management capabilities.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
