Job Title: CT Technologist
Location: Chico California
Shift: Full-Time Nights (12-hour shifts 72 hours per pay period)
Days Off: Variable
Pay Range: $44.64/hr - $52.45/hr - $60.26/hr*
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $5000
Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Radiology Manager and immediate supervision of the Lead Technologist the CT Technologist performs both general diagnostic radiographic and CT imaging procedures. This role requires independent judgment and a high level of technical expertise.
Responsibilities include:
- Operating CT and X-ray equipment
- Preparing and administering IV contrast media
- Performing intravenous contrast injections
- Maintaining high-quality imaging and patient care standards
- Preparing patient rooms equipment and supplies
- Ensuring compliance with all departmental hospital and ethical standards
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in diagnostic X-ray
- 1 year of CT experience
Licenses / Certifications:
- Current California CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist) License
- CPR certification (approved provider)
- ARRT certification and Fluoroscopy Permit (must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
Preferred:
- Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification
- Current ARRT (CT) certification
- California Fluoroscopy Permit
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy cross-sectional anatomy and radiologic sciences
- Expertise in patient care radiographic exposure positioning and radiation safety
- Ability to think critically and act independently
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
