Primary Objectives
- Manage new customer projects and engineering change requests from initiation through production launch. The Program Manager is responsible for meeting customer-specified technical requirements project timelines and project budgets as outlined in the signed PCC (Project Cost Control Document).
Specific Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed)
- Act as the direct interface among SSP customers and vendors.
- Develop and maintain project timing plans from initiation to three months post-Start of Production (SoP).
- Assemble and lead project teams managing progress to ensure project milestones are met.
- Support Business Development in negotiating product changes with customers.
- Coordinate and manage engineering changes with Business Development and customers both technically and commercially.
- Submit monitor and maintain Project Cost Control Documents (PCCs).
- Coordinate vendor and customer invoices and payments in collaboration with the Finance department.
- Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities to ensure product quality and customer compliance.
- Develop maintain and manage detailed project budgets tracking costs to achieve financial targets.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer communications maintaining strong and proactive relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
- Plan coordinate and manage pre-series builds to validate product readiness and process capability.
- Ensure all work meets budget timing and technical product specifications.
- Coordinate day-to-day project issues with customers internal departments and vendors.
- Facilitate and participate in internal and external meetings with customers and vendors.
- Manage cross-functional activities across all involved SSP departments.
- Maintain and update the CMS database (including Bill of Materials part number setup material certifications costing etc.).
- Prepare and deliver necessary project progress and budget reports.
Qualifications :
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelors degree in engineering is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a tool & die or related engineering capacity
- Experience working directly with customers and vendors.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including listening written and verbal communication.
