The Systems Administrator is a full-time hybrid position in Chanhassen MN reporting to the IT Manager. The ideal candidate for this position will be responsible for becoming a subject matter expert (SME) on the technical aspects of our major business applications (e-commerce ERP CRM) most of which reside on externally hosted 3rdparty platforms. The administrator will also be responsible for user provisioning desktop support network administration and security and compliance.
Systems Analysis & Support
- Expertise: Become knowledgeable in the administration of our major 3rd-party applications understand the data that flows in and out of these systems and document the processes as needed.
- Project Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams and IT leadership on projects involving new system implementations upgrades or migrations.
- User Support: Troubleshoot issues and respond to support tickets in a timely manner.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain up-to-date technical documentation in SharePoint Wiki or other shared servers. Share knowledge with other team members and end users.
- Database Platforms: Troubleshooting for Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL.
- Data Warehousing & Reporting: Assist with SSIS Power BI and ETL/ELT processes.
Security & Compliance
- Endpoint Detection & Response: Deploy and manage EDR solutions.
- SIEM & Vulnerability Management: Deploy and manage SIEM tools and vulnerability scanners.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Collaborate on DR planning testing and implementation.
- Compliance: Support organizational adherence to SOC 2 GDPR/CCPA NIST ISO 27001 CIS and other applicable frameworks.
On-Premises Infrastructure Management
- Server Administration: Install configure and maintain Windows Server (2016) Linux OS Ubuntu VMware ESXi vSphere Hypervisor IIS WSUS SAN and (s)FTP.
- Storage & Backup: Configure and administer SAN/NAS solutions. Oversee backup and recovery processes.
- Networking & Security: Support TCP/IP networking DNS DHCP firewalls Cisco switches VLANs and SonicWall hardware.
- Directory Services & Identity Management: Manage on-premises and hybrid Active Directory and Group Policy settings to maintain a secure and efficient environment.
- User work environment: Workstations: Windows 11 with Microsoft 365 phones and VPN/remote desktop.
- Microsoft 365 Administration: Support Exchange Online SharePoint Online Teams and OneDrive. Manage user accounts licensing and security policies (conditional access MFA SSO).
Scripting & Automation
- Scripting Languages: Automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
Qualifications :
Education & Experience:
- Associates degree in a Technology-related field or equivalent work experience.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in systems administration.
Technical Proficiencies:
- Familiarity with Windows Server Linux OS Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Basic networking skills (switches routers firewalls and VPN).
- Familiarity with network security tools and practices.
- Experience with databases SQL and stored procedures.
- Experience administering virtualization platforms.
- Shell scripting.
