Job Description
Shop Mechanic
Reports to: Shop Manager
Responsibilities
- Diagnoses and repairs problems and/or failures on all vehicles and equipment for the purpose of identifying equipment repair and replacement needs
- Performs routine and preventive maintenance on all vehicles and equipment for the purpose of ensuring the ongoing functioning of required vehicles and equipment
- Maintains tools and/or equipment for the purpose of ensuring the availability of equipment in safe operating condition. Ensures that equipment is compliant with OSHA regulatory guidelines.
- Performs basic repair and maintenance on company buildings and property
- Assists with the insurance and registration of all vehicles and equipment
- Assists with other tasks as needed
Small Engine Repair
- Communicates with customers and determines the customers needs
- Repairs and/or services customer equipment. May order part(s) as necessary.
- Documents labor hours parts used and services performed for customer invoices and billing.
Education/ Experience
Previous vehicle and equipment maintenance experience
Knowledge/ Skills
- Ability to operate all company vehicles machinery and equipment
- Able to use the following software: Manager Plus OTC EVO Diagnostic Computer Microsoft Office Products (Word Excel Publisher PowerPoint and Outlook)
