Position Available: Part-Time After-School Band and Instrumental Music Teacher (Grades K-8)
At Action Day we believe in fostering a love for music and the performing arts through engaging high-quality instruction that inspires creativity confidence and teamwork. We are seeking a passionate and versatile After-School Band and Instrumental Music Teacher to lead and expand our growing music program for elementary and middle school students. The ideal candidate will inspire students through engaging instruction in piano strings woodwinds brass and percussion fostering creativity collaboration and musical confidence. If you love teaching a variety of instruments directing student ensembles and sparking a lifelong love of music this is the perfect opportunity for share your passion and make music come alive for our students!
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead group and individual music lessons for students (grades K-8) across a range of instruments: piano string woodwind brass and percussion.
- Direct after-school band rehearsals ensembles and student performances.
- Develop a creative and innovative curriculum that nurtures musical skills creativity and teamwork.
- Encourage entrepreneurial mindsets by guiding students in organizing performances composing music and exploring music technology.
- Foster a positive inclusive and encouraging classroom environment.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and school staff.

Compensation- $45.00- $50.00 per hour
Requirements
Our ideal candidate will come to us with:
- A bachelors degree in music music education or a related field is preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Proficiency in at least two of the following: piano strings woodwinds brass or percussion; ability to support instruction in all.
- Experience teaching music to children ages 514 preferably in a group setting.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to fostering creativity innovation and entrepreneurial thinking in students.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to a dynamic school community.
