Job Summary:
We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation team at MaineGeneral Health. In this role you will work with patients recovering from cardiac and pulmonary conditions guiding them through personalized exercise plans lifestyle education and emotional support. Position: Cardiopulmonary Rehab Nurse (RN)
Location: Alfond Center for Health Augusta ME (with occasional coverage at Thayer Center for Health Waterville ME)
Schedule: Part-time (32 hours/week)
Shift: Weekdays only No weekends no holidays!
What Youll Do:
- Plans implements and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes. Monitors records and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
- Works directly with patients to guide exercise plans and workouts. Works directly with patients to support healthy lifestyle changes.
- Evaluates the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides the patient/family education appropriate to age culture condition and circumstances.
- Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.
What Were Looking For:
Active Maine RN license (or ability to obtain promptly) required
5 years of nursing experience preferred
ACLS certification preferred
Strong communication teamwork and critical thinking skills
A passion for patient education and preventive care
