Senior Business Analyst
Contract Length: 12 months potential extension
Location: Dallas Texas Hybrid (4 days onsite downtown Dallas)
**Applicants must already be local to the Dallas area**
We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering and technical documentation for enterprise-level data management initiatives. This role plays a critical part in translating complex business needs into actionable technical deliverables driving collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst to lead requirements gathering and technical documentation for enterprise-level data management initiatives. This role plays a critical part in translating complex business needs into actionable technical deliverables driving collaboration between business stakeholders and technical teams in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Communications or a related field.
- 7 years of IT project delivery experience.
- 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst with demonstrated success in data-centric and Agile project environments.
- Strong proficiency in SQL (Oracle and SQL Server required; MongoDB a plus).
- Proven ability to write and manage Business Requirements Documents Technical Design Documents and Data Lineage Documentation.
- 4 years of hands-on experience with data analysis and troubleshooting in complex systems.
- Adept at interpreting business needs and translating them into clear technical specifications.
- Experienced in Agile methodologies and proficient in using JIRA for task and project tracking.
- Excellent meeting facilitation organizational and multitasking skills.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities; capable of engaging with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Highly detail-oriented with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to gather validate and document business and technical requirements.
- Lead and facilitate requirements sessions; document outcomes meeting minutes and action items.
- Write and maintain comprehensive Business Requirement Documents to support Agile development efforts.
- Collaborate with technical teams to support Technical Design Documents and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of Data Lineage documentation to support data governance and compliance.
- Track and monitor project progress through JIRA ensuring timely follow-ups status updates and resolution of blockers.
- Coordinate planned release activities and communicate key updates through structured release announcements.
- Ensure alignment between technical implementation and documented business requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
