Shift: Days Shift length: 8 HoursPOSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager Clinical Programs & Data for the Quality & Safety Department has a multifaceted role within the organization incorporating the components of clinical practice consultation education performance improvement and research regarding best clinical practice. The Manager Clinical Programs & Data has oversite of assigned service lines within the Quality & Safety Department. The Manager performs the job of consultant for medical directors and leaders of the service lines with the goal of project improvement. In addition the manager assists in developing quality metrics analyzation of performance in collaboration with service line leadership. The Clinical Programs & Data Manager under the direction of the Director of Quality & Safety assists with the development maintenance and evaluation of the environment that supports quality & safety functions for the organization. Utilizing clinical knowledge and advanced problem-solving skills the Manager Clinical Programs & Data is responsible for facilitating quality improvement initiatives across the continuum and collecting and analyzing clinical and operational information for use in quality management initiatives. Participates in an integral role to ensure compliance with regulatory data collection and reporting of process and outcome measures e.g. CMS CDPH Leapfrog Blue Distinction etc. Participates in quality & safety activities such as regulatory reporting and surveys root cause analysis transition steering committees project management etc. The Manager Clinical Programs & Data contributes to the service excellence mission of Enloe Medical Center.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Three years clinical nursing experience
Two years management/leadership experience
Desired:
Bachelors or Masters degree in nursing
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) certification within two years of hire
Experience in quality improvement processes and theory.
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Demonstrated working knowledge of change management concepts. Demonstrates knowledge of COP Title 22 and JC standards. Working knowledge of hospital information systems. Demonstrates skill in complex problem solving. Demonstrates and understands collection and analysis of data and statistical process control methods. Demonstrates evidence of strong skills in confidentiality integrity creativity and initiative. Demonstrates ability to interact in a collaborative manner with a wide variety of individuals and handle complex and confidential-sensitive situations and information. Proficient in the use of multiple computer software programs; Microsoft Suite and Internet access and use. Knowledge of accreditation and external agency requirements. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position. Demonstrates the ability to lead motivate and delegate.
