Position Overview
The Technical Support Engineer is responsible for the overall systems infrastructure including engineering implementation integration and technical services and support.
Job Functions/Responsibilities
Designs implements installs maintains and administers infrastructures including hardware software and various configurations.
Monitors overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune appropriately.
Performs root cause analysis on failed components and implements corrective measures.
Works with others to establish and improve processes and procedures.
May have sole responsibility for projects and participate in disaster recovery exercises.
Respond to all Accounts via telephone or the web.
Manage relationships with customers.
Maintain excellent customer satisfaction level.
Work with cross-functional teams when required.
Find technical resolutions to unknown or new scenarios.
Keep up to date with all eCW products and their enhancements.
Meet SLAs.
Perform other job duties as assigned.
Experience/Education Requirements
Bachelors Degree required; masters degree preferred
Adheres to all company policies and mandatory compliance protocols as required by eCW
Experience with server side programming using VB / COM (preferred)
Proficient with relational databases
Experience with Java or .NET (preferred)
Experience with Internet Protocols HTTP / HTTPs
Experience with XML / XSL
Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
Experience with Web Application Server(s)
Understanding of N-Tier Architecture
Proficient with SQL Server MySQL
Knowledge of TCP / IP / FTP Functionality
Knowledge of JavaScript jQuery Java J2E Spring and Hibernate Server-Side Validation
Prior Technical support experience a plus
