Now hiring a Manager-Food Service Operations!


Presbyterian Healthcare is hiring a Manager-Food Service Operations to oversees the daily operations of the hospital s food service function. Oversees plans coordinates and manages patient nutrition care activities complying with standards established by regulatory agencies and PHS. Establishes quality and food safety standards for foods and kitchen environment in accordance with regulatory agencies and PHS. Familiar with a variety of practices concepts and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the unit. Handles human resource concerns scheduling peer relationships patient interactions financial goals ordering receiving and inventory

Qualifications

  • Requires High School Diploma and 5 years relevant experience or an Associates degree with strong Food & Nutrition knowledge.
  • Ability to communicate (verbal and written) effectively with patients customers and support staff.
  • Ability to write letters summaries and reports.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions percentages ratios statistics.
  • Requires management and leadership skills and ability to work with confidential employee and patient information. ServSafe certified (may obtain certification within 6 months of job assignment.)

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and manages department standards programs and policies including patient nutrition services office activities. This includes coordinating and directing patient service activities including participation in planning and implementation of appropriate staffing levels. This includes processing nutrition care orders menu correction and communication to ensure compliance with policies and standards as well as maintenance of an effective efficient and responsive office.

  • Assists in the performance planning process for all designated unit employees cooks supervisors food service workers and diet aides. Coaches team for success. Interviews selects and trains employees within the department. Participates in team interviews with other Food & Nutrition Services managers. Maintains retention guidelines.

  • Maintains accurate and required statistical data (human resource requisitions and paperwork) time reports work flows DOL invoices transfers cash handling reports sales reports and all monthly/annual financial reports. Responsible for Quality Control Monitors such as Food and Equipment Temperature logs HACCP logs recipe compliance logs taste testing Problem/Resolution logs Test Tray Evaluation Meal Rounds Trayline Accuracy Checks Trayline Temperature Logs Snack Delivery lists QAPI reports Cash Audits Safe Audits and rounding logs Involved in the budget process.

Maximum Offer for this position is up to
