Job Description

Senior Scientist

Concurrent Technologies Corporation

Dayton OH

Minimum Clearance Required: TS/SCI with CI Polygraph

Concurrent Technologies Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist or Physicist with deep expertise in sensor homography image stitching and remote sensing to support advanced research and development efforts in Dayton OH. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of mathematics geometry and sensor/target phenomenology to design and implement innovative image processing and computer vision solutions. This is a unique opportunity to apply your technical expertise to meaningful national defense and intelligence programs that have real-world impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mathematical models and algorithms for sensor homography image stitching and scene reconstruction.

  • Conduct applied research in remote sensing sensor/target phenomenology and scene exploitation.

  • Build and validate image processing and computer vision algorithms to enhance operational understanding and data utility.

  • Collaborate with engineers scientists and developers to integrate algorithms into deployable systems and field-ready tools.

  • Prepare and deliver technical documentation scientific publications and client briefings to communicate research outcomes.

  • Contribute to proposal development and support customer engagements with subject matter expertise.


Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree or Ph.D. in Mathematics Physics Electrical Engineering Aerospace Engineering or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in remote sensing sensor modeling or image processing.

  • Strong understanding of sensor/target phenomenology and domain-specific sensing principles.

  • Proficiency in Python and relevant scientific libraries (e.g. NumPy SciPy OpenCV).

  • Demonstrated ability to develop test and deploy image-based algorithms in operational or research environments.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in computer vision development for real-time or embedded systems.

  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques applied to image and sensor data.

  • Familiarity with C MATLAB or high-performance computing environments.

  • Background in DoD intelligence or aerospace R&D projects.
