POSITION SUMMARY/PURPOSE
Under the direction of the Ivy Tech Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) Staff and Faculty this position will assist with culinary arts programs helping maintain the flow of class activities and help provide a safe seamless experience for students.
Availability: One assistant is needed for each of our culinary arts classes and camps. Assistants can work one or multiple camps/classes up to 29 hours/week though we ask for commitment to helping with the full week in the case of summer camps.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:
1. Assistant responsibilities primarily include cleaning dishes prepping supplies keeping the lab organized as needed by instructors and helping with sign-in/sign-out logistics if involved with summer camps. Occasionally assistants may be asked to help students follow recipes if additional supervision is needed.
2. Assistant will help our College for Kids & Teens programs operate within the Protection of Minors policy guidelines and create a positive learning environment for students if involved with summer camps.
3. Assistant may also have opportunities for content creation to contribute to camp marketing efforts for the Center for Lifelong Learnings social media feeds if interested.

The Ivy Tech Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) offers classes and camps to students of all ages backgrounds and areas of interest including creative arts culinary arts humanities STEM and lifestyle programs to name a few. Participation as an Assistant in our culinary arts program is a great way to gain experience alongside our Lead Instructors and work with administering youth programs that provide a wide variety of learning opportunities for staff faculty and campers alike while getting to help provide positive classroom experiences that will inspire a passion for arts and learning.
