Job Summary
The Account Manager is the main contact for communication between Nidec Automotive Motor Americas and key customer accounts. The Account Managers primary responsibility is to secure new business while maintaining and expanding current business with the key customer accounts. Additionally the Account Manager uses the technical knowledge of product offerings to support and build Nidec sales.Job Description
Primarily Job Responsibilities:
1. Find new opportunities to grow and expand business for companywide future growth. Identify target customers and prepare sales strategy to achieve the sales target. Identify product segments to target specific customers. Collect market/competitor information and provide feedback to Sales Department Head and/or Sales Director to collaborate on sales strategy.
2. Manage customer sales with from conception phase through the end of service obligations.
3. Track customer Key Performance Indicators including revenue and profitability improvements to meet NAMA sales short and long term sales plan as well as personal goals.
Take responsibility stated for this position in the procedures and work instructions of the sales system.
Additional Job Details
Competences required to perform the job (functional and interpersonal skills):
Education:
Bachelor in Engineering is preferred or similar degree.
Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Automotive industry dealing with major OEMs or Tier1 suppliers as sales(Account Manager) or Sales Engineer. Program Management experience is preferred (PMI certification is a plus). Product knowledge of motors and experience is preferred.
Certifications / Training:
PMI or PMP certification is preferred but not required.
