Job Description

Position Summary:

As a Minibar Attendant at The Edinburgh Grand you are entrusted with the precise and discreet management of in-room minibar operations. You will ensure that each guest enjoys a consistent refined experience that reflects the brands commitment to excellence personalization and attention to detail. Your role supports the smooth execution of minibar replenishment inventory accuracy and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily Replenishment:
    Restock and organize minibar items in guest rooms according to brand and property standards ensuring proper product placement and presentation.
  • Inventory Management:
    Accurately record consumption and replenish stock using handheld devices or inventory forms. Monitor stock levels and expiry dates; report replenishment needs to the appropriate departments.
  • Billing Accuracy:
    Log consumed items and post charges to guest folios through the property management system ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  • Quality Control:
    Maintain high standards of hygiene cleanliness and product rotation. Remove expired damaged or unauthorized products immediately.
  • Guest Engagement:
    Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests for minibar items honoring VIP and personalized preferences when available.
  • Compliance and Security:
    Follow all safety hygiene and company policies including secure handling of alcohol and restricted items and respect guest privacy at all times.
  • Collaboration:
    Communicate effectively with Front Office Housekeeping to ensure inventory accuracy and seamless guest service.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a luxury hotel or similar role preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to use mobile devices or inventory software.
  • Discreet professional and service-oriented demeanour.
  • Flexible to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to lift and transport minibar stock (up to 25 lbs regularly).
