We are looking for Casual / On-Call Security Guards in Abbotsford.
What are we looking for:
- Valid Security License.
- Class 5 BC Drivers license (asset)
- OFA Certificate First Aid Level 1/CPR.
- Professional and positive attitude.
- Top-notch customer service skill set.
- Adaptability to work in cohesive team environment.
- Conflict de-escalation experience.
- Experience dealing with vulnerable populations (unhoused addiction mental health).
- Flexible availability.
Responsibilities/Duties include:
- Ability to patrol for long hours.
- Demonstrate strong observation and communication skills.
- Ability to create high-quality detailed incident reports.
- Flexible availability including weekends and overnights.
- Demonstrate confident de-escalation skills.
- Ability to respond to emergency situations in a calm demeanor.
- Ability to perform job-related assigned tasks.
- Able to act in accordance with organizations policies and procedures.
- Assist Center tenants with suspicious individuals.
- Assist stores Loss Prevention Officers to deal with escalated situations.
- Assist tenants with safety related concerns.
- Escalating health and safety issues to the client.
- Assist with third - party contractors access control.
- Assist with parking enforcement if required.
- Ability to deal with trespassers and de-escalate situations.
