Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery improvement research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.
Applications are open for a Locum Specialist in Aged Care / Geriatric Medicine to join the dynamic Health of Older Persons Department at Alfred Health. There will be two available positions:
- 17.5 hours per week backfilling parental leave from 11 August 2025 through to 19 April 2026
- 21 hours per week backfilling parental leave from 1 October 2025 through to 1 October 2026
The Health of Older Persons Department supervises Advanced Trainees in Geriatric Medicine and values a commitment to quality patient orientated care through collaboration and research.
Suitable applicants must be legally qualified practitioners registered or registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a Fellow of The Royal College of Physicians in Geriatric Medicine or equivalent. Demonstrable relevant knowledge and experience in Geriatric Medicine preferably within Trauma or Perioperative medicine and /or GEM at Home well as meeting Alfred Health requirements for credentialing and scope of practice in Geriatric Medicine.
