Job Description
Overview
Talent Pool: Certified Nursing Assistant
CNA Nurse Tech Burlington Home Care
Responsibilities
Responds to verbal and nonverbal communication from psychiatric patients in order to communicate empathetically and meet needs.
Facilitates patient educational groups.
Provides patient care as delegated by the Registered Nurse as follows: vital signs capillary blood glucose EKG transports patients via wheelchair/stretcher (without EKG monitoring) bathes turns and repositions patients assists with ambulation of patients assists with meeting elimination needs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
Required: High school graduate or equivalent
Completion of a state approved Nurse Aide 1 training
Experience Requirements
Required: None
Preferred: 1 year experience as a nursing assistant
Licensure/Certification/Listing
Required: Successfully complete BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider within 30 days of hire date.
Current good standing with the NC Nurse Aide Registry verified through DFS have reliable transportation with adequate insurance as determined by the organization.
