Quality Inspector & Material Handler

Job Summary- Responsible for pulling inventory and moving stock and other materials to support the Quality and Returns Department. Ensure that performance on products conform to established company quality standards. Inspect any incoming products to ensure they meet company quality standards. Reviews analyzes and reports on quality issues.

Responsibilities:

• Understand and follow standard procedure.
• Assist with moving pallets and heavy boxes from the receiving department to the quality control department
• Assist the returns team with moving any pallets and boxes
• Approve incoming products by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable products. Determining if manufactured products meet quality standards enforced by Tweezerman.
• Follow quality manual guidelines and inspection plan for inspection of products.
• Document inspection results by completing daily production sheet.
• Ensure that receiving document lot quantities match actual box quantities.
• Inspect damaged boxes from suppliers for correct quantity or damaged products.
• Ensure that all discrepant material awaiting disposition is segregated and placed into the Material Review Board (MRB) location.
• Ability to read drawings and use measuring tools such as calipers or dimensional gauges.
• Sort and count products.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Update KPIs and document control.
• Engrave beauty products to the customer specifications.
• Report and correct unsafe work practices/conditions.
• Ensure company quality standards are met while production is underway.
• Maintain 6S in work environment by ensuring workstation is always neat and orderly.
• Understand and comply to warehouse safety rules and guideline wear protective supplies when necessary.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate English with associates Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and be motivated to come up with efficiency and improvement ideas.
• Ability to use Computer/Excel/Microsoft Word/Email/Power Point.
• Strong attention to detail and safety.
• Ability to communicate to all levels of management both written and verbally.
• Ability to follow clear instructions and ask questions as needed.
• Ability to lift over 40 lbs.
