Job Description
Job Title: Design Engineer
Job Descriptions: Chip/block designer responsible for hands-on physical design tasks on advanced process technologies such as A16/N2/N3/N5/N6/N7/N16 for top-level SOC or blocks including: Chip-level planning IO pad/pin and bump assignment feedthrough planning block partition/pin assignment/timing budgeting clock planning RDL routing and chip integration; Block implementation and signoff closure: RTL/Netlist to GDS implementation which consists floorplan placement clock tree synthesis routing and closure of timing PV IREM and antenna; Innovative/Productive physical design flow and methodology development; and PPA benchmarking/optimization for CPU/GPU.
Requirements: Masters degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering and one (1) year of experience in a related position.
Work experience or academic coursework must have included: Experience with ASIC/Chip Tapeout pressure; experience in RTL2GDS/Netlist2GDS for block and chip-level implementation; experience in Tapeout including physical design and signoff closures; and experience in scripting with TCL Perl and Python to support physical design.

Salary Range: $151091 to $152000/year.

At TSMC your base pay is only part of your overall total compensation package. At the time of this posting this role typically pays a base salary between $151091/year to $152000/year. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range. Factors that influence pay include the individuals skills qualifications education experience and the position level and location.
