We are seeking a talented individual to join Marsh in our UK Industries Team. This is a hybrid working role with a minimum of 3 days spent in our London office.

Marshs Client Insight & Enablement team sit at the heart of the business driving and enabling growth across our three client segments through our industry lead client engagement strategy. At the heart of the strategy is an industry-specific client value proposition for each of our 19 industry groups that brings together the full breadth of Marshs knowledge and capability. This is delivered directly to clients and prospects via our colleague communities and through a strategic marketing strategy.

We are looking for a Sports Entertainment & Media (SEM) Insight & Growth Associate to join our highly regarded Client Insight & Enablement team within the Marsh Industries leadership team.


You will have responsibility for content creation shaping our client message and sharing output internally and externally. You will establish systems and practices for converting tacit knowledge to explicit knowledge and sharing that knowledge throughout the organisation and externally to build our brand as trusted industry risk advisers. You will collaborate with our SEM industries team our Global Sports & Events Practice as well as our other sports & entertainment colleagues within the MMC network to identify and support priority opportunities for accelerated growth.


The successful candidate will be supporting our SEM Industry Leader and our Global Sports & Events Practice Leader as well as liaising with our UK Client Insight & Enablement team.

We will rely on you to:

Industries Strategy

  • Serve as an Insight Manager and Growth Associate for the SEM practice.
  • Drive awareness and relationship building internally as well as externally.
  • With the SEM Industry Practice Leader develop a clear value proposition and growth strategy for the industry.
  • Raise the branding and profile as trusted risk adviser within the industry externally.
  • Develop facilitate and enhance access to proposition-specific knowledge (e.g. case studies credentials etc.)
  • Drive internal industry education through our industry led client engagement strategy - Belief-Based Engagement (BBE) - utilising internal systems for dissemination of that content.
  • Assist with the MMCs efforts to find innovative ways of using knowledge to add value to key client relationships.
  • Participate in broader global projects supporting the Global Sports & Events Practice with initiatives when required.

Growth Enabler

  • Work with our SEM Team to initiate and drive the production of insight-led content and events to enable growth in a manner that is consistent with MMCs messaging and brand standards.
  • Engage with the SEM Team to prioritise and support opportunities to win new business retain clients and share best practice.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify internal knowledge gaps and proactively develop content and solutions to promote industry knowledge sharing.
  • Work with other Industry Leaders to contribute to development of convergent / joint initiatives and other internal priority projects.

What you need to have:

  • A passion for sports entertainment and media.
  • An understanding of the structure of global sports and the issues impacting the SEM sector
  • A basic understanding of risk management and insurance.
  • Experience of project management and of developing and coordinating initiatives with stakeholders across multiple segments functions geographies.
  • First class communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills ability to influence with different levels across an organisation.
  • Analytical problem solver (including solid data manipulation skills) combined with an ability to succinctly communicate trends key developments and opportunities emerging from quantitative & qualitative data sets.
  • Excellent IT skills across the Microsoft suite of software solutions.
