You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailReds Electrical Service Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Entry-Level Staff Accountant to support the financial backbone of our growing construction operations. This role is integral to ensuring our project accounting is timely accurate and aligned with company goals. You will play a hands-on role in processing invoices maintaining financial records tracking project budgets and supporting positive cash flow management.
Working closely with project managers and internal teams youll gain a full-spectrum view of construction finance and develop foundational skills for a long-term career in accounting and project finance. If you have a strong grasp of accounting principles and a passion for organized financial management this is an excellent opportunity to grow within a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
Assist in the preparation review and management of project budgets and forecasts
Process vendor and subcontractor invoices promptly ensuring accuracy and compliance
Maintain up-to-date financial records for assigned projects and departments
Collaborate with project managers to monitor actual vs. projected expenses
Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments to support cash flow
Support monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes
Help reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies in financial data
Associates degree in Accounting Finance or a related field (Bachelors degree preferred)
Basic understanding of GAAP and accounting workflows
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting platforms (e.g. QuickBooks)
Strong organizational and time management skills
Internship or hands-on experience in accounting or financial reporting
Familiarity with construction accounting practices or cost tracking
Experience with project management tools or ERP systems
Accuracy & Attention to Detail: Essential for managing invoices budgets and documentation
Communication: Work effectively with internal project teams and external vendors
Problem Solving: Identify and resolve account discrepancies or budget variances
Organization: Manage multiple projects deadlines and financial workflows simultaneously
Team Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments for complete and timely financial updates
