What Youll Do:

As the Staff Accountant you will plan manage and perform day-to-day accounting activities including managing transactions accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate financial reporting and support the organization so that the company can make informed financial decisions maintain compliance and support the successful financial execution of construction projects.


Your Accountabilities in The Role:

  • Prepares and issues customer invoices monitor outstanding receivables and apply payments to ensure timely collections and maintain accurate accounts receivable records.
  • Processes vendor invoices and employee expense reports reconcile vendor statements and maintain compliance to support accurate and timely accounts payable operations.
  • Performs reconciliations of bank credit card and balance sheet accounts and support month-end and year-end close processes to maintain accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.
  • Tracks and analyzes construction project costs collaborate with project managers on cost coding and conduct variance analysis to ensure financial control and accurate job cost reporting.
  • Maintains organized accounting records and documentation in compliance with policies and regulations and assist in audit preparation to support operational transparency and regulatory compliance.
  • Take initiatives in team collaboration process improvement and cross-functional problem-solving to contribute to a positive work culture and enhance overall business efficiency.

Position Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related field required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of Accounting experience preferably within a construction or real estate environment.
  • Certifications: N/A
  • Functional Skills: Strong ability to plan prioritize and manage daily accounting tasks efficiently while ensur-ing accuracy in financial reporting highly process-oriented with attentive to detail strong analytical skills to review large amounts of data identify discrepancies and assist in variance analysis; strong problem-solving capabilities to support project management and process improvements strong math and business acumen with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; strong understanding of GAAP organized and self-motivated in a fast-paced environment and effective communication skills.
  • Technology Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite particularly in Excel and QuickBooks experience required.
  • Language Skills: Solid verbal and written communication skills; proactive approach with ability to communicate professionally politely and intelligently with customers and others.
  • Leadership/ Behaviors: Customer-service oriented supporting both the team and customers compliant and data-focused with the ability to work efficiently both independently and in teams in a fast-paced environment dependable in handling confidential matters with integrity strong work ethic and highly motivated to manage accounting tasks and projects to meet goals collaborative with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decisions proactive and self-motivated adaptable to change while ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and committed to continuous improvement through research analysis and recommending process enhancements to optimize operations and support the annual budgeting process.

Other Important Information:


Position Status & Salary: Salaried or Hourly Position. Pay is commensurate with proven expertise and behavior skills that fit the position.

And the compensation will grow as the team member grows!

Reports To: CFO

Core Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; with 35 hours a week for part-time; 40 hours a week on average for full-time.

Travel: None

Work Conditions: Primarily exposed to normal office environment. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
