The Division of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) is the states lead division serving people with disabilities committed to diversity equity inclusion accessibility and racial justice. The mission of the Division is to assist individuals with disabilities in achieving their goals of employment education and independent living. This position is the statewide Individual Provider Enrollment Specialist in the Bureau of Home and Community Based Supports/Provider Enrollment and Assessment Unit overseeing individual provider enrollment and assessments for the Home Services Program. The Division of Rehabilitation of Services is seeking to hire a dynamic and detail-oriented individual with strong leadership and communication skills for this position.
Serves as the Individual Provider Enrollment Specialist in the Bureau of Home and Community Based Supports/Provider Enrollment and Assessment Unit on a Statewide basis.
Provides independent review of documents submitted by potential providers based on procedural requirements including but not limited to applications fiscal documents license/certifications etc.
Independently conducts scheduled reviews to ensure continued compliance with State and Federal mandates and requirements set forth in the SMART ACT for providers previously approved for the provider system.
Manages the provider enrollment process for Home Services Program to ensure best practices are used.
Provides testimony for any proceedings resulting from decisions of requests.
Assists in the development of administrative rules program policy and procedures and future changes based on the waiver process in accordance with the state and federal requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned or required which are reasonably within the scope of duties enumerated above.
Requires knowledge skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college preferably with coursework in business or public administration.
Requires one (1) year of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization or completion of an agency approved professional management training program.
One (1) year of professional experience analyzing administrative documents and adopting an effective course of action.
One (1) year of professional experience exercising judgment and discretion in interpreting departmental policies and procedures.
One (1) year of professional experience interpreting or explaining rules policy and/or procedure to individuals in a clear and understandable format.
One (1) year of professional experience interacting with and communicating clearly and tactfully with a wide range of individuals that include state agency officials the public customers legislators employers internal and external stakeholders and employees.
One (1) year of professional experience in a private or public organization maintaining confidentiality and handling of sensitive information with professionalism.
One (1) year of professional experience preparing detailed reports spreadsheets and presentations in an accessible format for various audiences using software such as Microsoft Word Excel Access and Powerpoint.
Requires the ability to travel.
