As a Speech Pathologist at Fellowship Community youll embark on an exciting journey where clinical expertise meets compassionate care. Youll perform initial evaluations collaborating closely with residents to set relevant goals that pave the way for success. Your role includes developing implementing and updating treatment plans while recommending adaptive devices to enhance patient performance. You will participate in team meetings sharing vital insights and conducting family training sessions ensuring a holistic approach to care.
Your administrative responsibilities will involve maintaining meticulous records for evaluations and progress notes while effectively communicating with your supervisor on clinical issues. Working primarily indoors youll navigate a dynamic environment that fosters teamwork and innovation. As you contribute to the development of restorative and functional maintenance programs your efforts will directly impact the lives of those you serve creating a fulfilling experience that enriches both your career and the community.
To thrive as a Speech Pathologist at Fellowship Community you will need a strong foundation of essential skills and qualifications. A graduate degree from an accredited Speech Language Program along with a valid state license and Certificate of Clinical Competency in Speech Pathology or CFY eligibility is mandatory. Experience in adult and/or geriatric rehabilitation for at least six months to a year is preferred. You must possess intermediate computer skills and demonstrate effective clinical decision-making abilities that promote desirable outcomes for your patients. Strong leadership skills in teaching training mentoring and coaching are crucial as is the ability to communicate effectively with individuals who may have visual or hearing impairments.
Additionally you should excel at prioritizing and organizing tasks to meet demanding needs ensuring your work reflects the core values of excellence and innovation that define our community.
