JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION LEAD
SUMMARY
Responsible for providing direction to team members of a production unit that will promote the accomplishment of the production unit goals in the areas of Safety Quality Delivery and Cost. The incumbent in this position is a working member of a production team. The incumbent will provide training guidance and direction as directed by the Production Supervisor or other members of the management team.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed.
Coach team members on proper production processes and standards.
Execute workflow as directed by leadership.
Direct team members in their work responsibilities.
Identify issues of inefficiency and suggest improvements.
Complete a variety of daily weekly and monthly reports as instructed.
Provide hands-on support and training.
Clearly communicate job expectations to team members.
Report policy and procedure violations to the Production Supervisor.
Ensure that finished products are completed to product quality standards.
Report raw material shortages to the Production Supervisor before running out of material.
Report violations of company rules and policies to Production Supervisor.
Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency.
Train new team members on how to perform their job duties safely.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
High School diploma or work experience that has demonstrated sufficient basic knowledge.
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse group of team members.
Must be able to demonstrate both written and oral communication skills.
Must be self-motivated with experience in problem solving skills.
Must be dependable have a good attendance record (5 points or less).
Must be able to demonstrate a good work ethic.
Must have reliable transportation and the ability to be at work on time.
Must be available for extended shifts and 6 days a week depending on business conditions and peak periods.
Must be available to work both day and evening shifts.
Must be able to receive a satisfactory result of a criminal background check to be considered for this position.
Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.
