Job Description

Join Our Award-Winning Housekeeping Team as a part-time Environmental Tech.

At Country Manor in Sartell MN we are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Environmental Tech part-time. This position will work 2:00 pm-8:30 pm alternating 3 days/4 days per week every other weekend and every other holiday.

As an Environmental Tech you will:

  • Perform housekeeping duties such as disinfecting dusting mopping cleaning mirrors walls and floors emptying garbage organizing furniture vacuuming and other related duties.
  • Use supplies per manufacturer guidelines and take care of cleaning equipment such as buffers carts vacuum cleaners extractors etc.
  • Keep work areas and utility rooms neat and orderly.
  • Report needed improvements and repairs to Director of Housekeeping and Laundry.
  • Maintain good rapport with residents families and visitors and refer all medical or personal care questions to the nurse in charge.
  • Responsible for organizing and completing scheduled duties and special projects as assigned.
  • Responsible to know and comply with facility and department safety rules.
  • Assist with supply inventory for scheduled projects.
  • Vacuum facility hallways.
  • Collect and dispose of all refuse from designated locations and operate trash compactor as assigned.
  • Sweep and mop all Care Center dining rooms daily.
  • Scrub the kitchen floors daily.
  • Carpet shampooing buffing floors stripping and waxing floors as scheduled.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able and willing to assume responsibility for the sanitation and cleanliness of assigned work areas throughout the facility.
  • Must have ability to understand and follow directions both oral and written.
  • Must be able to work with residents supervisors and peers in a cooperative and helpful manner.
  • Must have physical and mental health sufficient to perform job tasks.
  • Must be neat in appearance and in uniform at all times including name badge.
  • Must conform to and follow established routines philosophy and objectives of the facility.
  • Experience in housekeeping duties and operating housekeeping equipment preferred but not required.
  • Experience with floor care equipment i.e. scrubber extractor wax strippers & wax.
  • Must display a great deal of patience consideration and tact when dealing with staff tenants visitors and residents.
  • Must be able to operate trash compactor.
