About Us
The Burk Laboratory is seeking a Research Technician A to assist with aresearch project that involves the molecular genetic characterization of HPV genomes from clinical samples. The studies are involved in characterizing the presence specific type and methylation state (i.e. CpG methylation) of the viral genome and cervix pre-cancer and cancer.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
The person will:
Perform a few relatively simple technical procedures;
- Rarely analyze data.
- Receive samples
- Process DNA
- Enter data
- Other relatedresearch laboratory duties as needed
- require intermittent guidance
- Rarely be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment for the laboratory
QUALIFICATIONS
- Required to have High School diploma and one year technical school or Associates degree or equivalent skills and experience
- Knowledgable in basic computer software such as word excel and powerpoint preferred
