Job Description

Overview

Work Arrangement:

***After the initial training period this is a hybrid role working onsite in either our Morrisville NC Wilmington DE or Norristown PA offices.***

Performs complex credit analysis and financial reviews of new and existing loan requests.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions

  1. Analyzes financial statements on complex credit requests to make an initial assessment of the level and quality of credit risk and viability of repayment.
  2. Works with salesperson to structure each lease request to best protect the bank and meet borrowers desired outcome.
  3. Conduct borrower interview with applicant and/or designated third parties such as borrowers CPA controller etc.
  4. Contacts salesperson for additional information pertinent to the underwriting activities. Works with customers and leasing team to collect required credit information for underwriting lease requests.
  5. Verifies existing lessees total and current exposure in the leasing systems and databases e.g. LeaseWave and Spark as well as hard file information and ensure that it is within departmental risk levels.
  6. Generates credit memorandum to include a detailed financial analysis customers background summary of current and prior year fiscal results and cash flow analysis lease requests on more complex credits.
  7. Determines and presents recommended action (approval or decline) to senior management Recommendation to include all relevant financial analysis supporting collateral and market information in accordance with organizations credit standards and policies.
  8. Maintains accurate and complete loan files. Validates that all required authorization compliance and approvals are obtained prior to closing underwriting documentation and files. Creates and maintains approvals and files.
  9. Develops close working partnerships with the sales team leasing operations and other internal company staff to ensure open communication channels are available to handle issues associated with the credit analysis and review of clients. Quickly respond to calls and requests for information from the team.
  10. Recommends process procedural and or operational changes to improve the efficiency of the credit review process.
  11. Serves as the primary backup for the manager approving daily rental funding requests. In addition monitor track and update title information related to daily rental customers and leasing customers.
  12. Trains and mentors less experienced credit officers and analysts.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Five Years Commercial credit analysis or fleet/equipment leasing experience.
  • Strong working knowledge and understanding of traditional financial analysis.

Preferred Requirements

  • Strong organizational time management and prioritization skills to meet loan committee deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills with strong presentation skills.
  • Team player able to work effectively in a team fostered multi-tasking environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite e.g. Excel PowerPoint Word Outlook
