Job Description

Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location: Charlotte NC

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems for textile machinery.
  • Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide hands-on support for troubleshooting electrical issues in textile machinery ensuring minimal downtime. Implement preventative maintenance procedures.
  • System Integration: Coordinate and oversee the integration of electrical control systems (PLC HMI VFD) into new or existing textile machinery and ensure the optimization of electrical performance.
  • Automation & Control Systems: Work with PLC programming and other automation systems enhancing machinery operations and functionality for improved productivity and efficiency.
  • Testing & Validation: Conduct testing and validation of electrical components and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal specifications.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all electrical designs schematics control systems and electrical maintenance procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with production design and quality teams to deliver projects on time and meet customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • Experience:
    Experience in electrical engineering specifically within the industrial machinery sector.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of electrical systems controls and automation.
    • Experience with PLC programming HMI and VFDs.
    • Siemens TIA Allen Bradley Ignition Wonderware
    • Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (e.g. AutoCAD EPLAN).
    • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and industrial machinery.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Travel required 60%:travel will be within NC SC VA and TN and will be primarily during the work week.
