About the Role
As the Driver and Logistics Support you will be responsible for the operation maintenance and cleaning of vehicles including ambulance and patient transport vehicle and associated specialised equipment.
In this role you will:
- Check and test report on the performance of equipment vehicles and other systems during duty
- Transport and distribute medical pharmaceutical and general stores within and between health facilities
- Have provision for Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT) to Defence members in accordance with the Defence policy
- Be responsible for ordering and receipting of medical dental and general stores using the Defence statutory inventory management systems
- Pick pack issue and dispatch medical dental and general stores to satisfy orders from dependencies
As the ideal applicant you will have:
- At least 2 years experience in stores logistics and a transport role
- Must hold a current and valid drivers licence and a Baseline Defence Clearance
About the Location
Robertson Health Centre is located on Robertson Barracks in Holtze 15 km east of the city of Darwin. The facility has a routine dependency of approximately 2800 defence staff with a large reserve component. The Barracks also accommodates an additional 2500 US marines every 6 months from May to September. The health centre provides primary medical pharmaceutical dental physiotherapy and mental health services and operates a 22-bed 24/7 ward. Standard operating hours are 0730-1530 Monday-Friday.
