Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer willing to contribute to the migration project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Platform Engineering and extensive experience in managing large infrastructures in AWS. This role requires a deep understanding of modern DevOps tools and practices as well as a commitment to fostering a responsive communicative and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to planning and executing the migration of workflows and pipelines from Deadline Cloud to AWS services.
- Evaluate and enhance existing migration tools and processes for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure all migrated systems meet security and compliance standards.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code.
- Develop and implement automation scripts using PowerShell JavaScript and Ruby to streamline migration processes.
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure to support scalable and secure applications.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth infrastructure operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Implement best practices for security reliability and performance.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
- 4 years of experience in a platform engineering or similar role.
- In-depth experience with AWS cloud services - VPC IAM S3 EC2 etc understanding best practices performance optimisation and processing of big (petabyte) data
- AWS networking related to data transfer and migration between cloud providers
- Understanding and building resources using Terraform
- Experience working with and building Lambda functions
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- English - intermediate Ukrainian - advanced or higher
Will be appreciated but not required experience with:
- Deadline Cloud
- EKS cluster management
- AWS StepFunction
- Python or NodeJS programming skills at an intermediate level
