LOCATION/DIVISION SPECIFIC INFORMATION
This position is part of Thermo Fisher Scientifics Global Infrastructure Systems team within Secure Core Infrastructure. The role supports global infrastructure asset management and capacity planning across enterprise compute systems.

Youll help drive operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness through accurate tracking lifecycle management and capacity planning of critical IT infrastructure assets. Your work will ensure compliance optimize resource utilization and support business objectives across our global technology landscape.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
- Manage asset tracking inventory control and lifecycle management for network server storage and backup infrastructure.
- Coordinate and oversee hardware ordering procurement and delivery from approved VARs ensuring alignment with project and operational requirements.
- Spearhead planning efforts to support business goals and technology strategies.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on procurement contract management and vendor performance.
- Develop and implement workflows reports and tools for asset visibility compliance and optimization.
- Support financial planning by contributing to budget preparation and cost control for IT infrastructure assets.
KEYS TO SUCCESS
EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Business or a related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 4 years of experience in IT asset management infrastructure or procurement within a large-scale enterprise.
- 2 years of project management or vendor management experience.
- Experience with asset tracking contract administration and supplier performance management.
- Experience supporting infrastructure to optimize capacity and costs.
- Background involved in multi-functional teams on technology and operations projects.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS ABILITIES
- Good project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize efficiently.
- Excellent analytical skills with a data-driven mentality for process improvement.
- Ability to develop and present reports dashboards and arguments to collaborators.
- Skilled in vendor sourcing contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Effective communication skills to interact with collaborators of various levels.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Primarily office or remote work using standard IT equipment. Occasional travel may be required for vendor meetings or project support. Minimal physical demands.
