Job Title: Maintenance & Engineering Group Leader Level:

Purpose:
To provide a description of the duties of the Maintenance & Engineering Manager. Work together with the maintenance team in all departments to define opportunities related to product/process systems and implement improvement programs to eradicate any opportunities that arise.
Essential Functions:
- Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principals
- Responsible for coordinating the capital planning and implementation of capital projects.
- Coordinate contractor activities to ensure safety and costs are controlled and deadlines met while adhering to NSG standards.
- Ensure all EHS standards relating to equipment are met both existing and new equipment
- Manages the technical support services required to maintain or upgrade the physical plant production equipment engineering processes and methods to facilitate production.
- Oversee the technical health of the entire facility as it relates to Cold End Hot End Coatings Plant Engineering and Maintenance by working side by side with other department managers.
- Directs capital type projects from feasibility studies through design and ultimate implementation. These projects are evaluated by analyzing the available technology and equipment determining the investment cost and need for the equipment. The incumbent must stay abreast of the newest developments in the state of the art technologies.
- Determines equipment and facility needs through working with other managers and parent company technical staff. Contact is made with outside contractors and the competitive bidding process is used to secure equipment and/or services for the project. Projects are monitored from inception to conclusion. Parent company technical staff or outside engineering services to direct or assist with larger projects may also be utilized.
- Implements measures designed to provide safe working conditions for plant personnel. This is done through working with the Departmental Managers.
- Selects develops trains motivates appraises and compensates subordinate personnel to provide for a competent work force.
- Monitoring the spend of daily maintenance planning and projects.
- May manage and provide training to Pilkington employees such as Basic Process Improvement (BPI) and Total Quality Management (TQM) programs.
- May be required to assist in training.
- Other managerial duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Equivalent Experience
- Excellent communication & human relation skills. Also well-developed interpersonal skills verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving skills. The ability to effectively interact with all levels.
- 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing facility
- 5-7 years experience in the Engineering and Maintenance Field
- 3 to 5 years supervisory experience
- Strong computer skills
- Must be analytical and detail oriented.
- Must be able to work independently and past experience should demonstrate achievements supporting a results-oriented focus and use of leadership skills.
Qualifications Desired:
- 1-3 years glass manufacturing experience
- Self-motivated individual
- Must be able to multi-task and work well under pressure.
Salary Range $127353 - $174660

The Salary Range posted represents Pilkington North Americas good faith and reasonable estimate of the possible compensation at the time of the posting. Individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills knowledge experience education etc.
