Job Description

Job Title:

Radiation Therapist

Job Type:

Contract 12 weeks with potential for extension

Location:

Raleigh NC
(Onsite mask fit required)

Start Date:

ASAP

Schedule:
  • Shift: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:30 PM

  • Hours: 40 hours per week / 8 hours per day

  • On-Call: No

  • Weekends: No

  • Holidays: No

Compensation:
  • $85/hour W2 or 1099 options available

Position Summary:

A healthcare facility in the Raleigh North Carolina area is seeking a Radiation Therapist for a 12-week contract assignment with the potential for extension. The therapist will deliver prescribed doses of radiation to patients in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols ensuring precision safety and patient comfort. This position requires experience with Varian Trilogy equipment with a strong preference for candidates familiar with Varian RPM and MOSAIQ.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist

  • Accurately position patients and operate radiation equipment (Varian Trilogy)

  • Monitor patient condition and report adverse reactions to medical team

  • Document treatment delivery in compliance with protocols and safety standards

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of treatment areas and equipment

  • Collaborate with dosimetrists physicists and other members of the care team

  • Ensure HIPAA compliance and uphold patient confidentiality

Required Qualifications:
  • ARRT Certification in Radiation Therapy

  • Completion of a Radiation Therapy Technologist program accredited by the Council of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)

  • Experience with Varian Trilogy systems (Required)

  • Varian RPM experience (Preferred)

  • MOSAIQ experience (Preferred)

  • Must be fit-tested for an N95 mask prior to start

  • Strong communication and clinical documentation skills

  • Able to work independently and efficiently within a fast-paced oncology environment

  • Comfortable working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team
