We are hiring Assistant Director of Nursing to a Nursing Home in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Will carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Person-in-Charge in the absence of the Director of Nursing in accordance with the Health Act of 2007 its implementing regulations and HIQA standards.
- Make certain that the highest possible general standards of food safety and cleanliness are upheld.
- In order to deliver housekeeping requirements maintenance standards food safety quality and choice and administrative efficiency coordinate with senior management.
- In collaboration with the DON take part in clinical management activities in the home such as caring for residents interacting with residents families and representatives supervising employees keeping an eye on performance and standards creating rules and procedures and conducting training.
- Organize the clinical risk management and resident involvement components of the quality and safety system.
- Regularly take part in staff coaching and evaluations.
Requirements
- Possess at least three years worth of experience caring for elderly patients within the previous six years.
- Possess at least seven years of post-registration experience.
- Be well-versed in the regulations and the activities of regulatory inspections of residential care facilities.
- Own a management third-level qualification.
- Effectively manage ones own workload while being able to adapt quickly to new demands.
- Possess the ability to reach goals influence people and create positive relationships.
- Encourage the clinical area to adopt a culture and ethos of quality assurance by working with the director of nursing to define and set benchmarks and KPIs.
- Become a General Nurse Registered.
- When needed be able to work flexible hours.
