Partner Staffing on behalf of our Client we are seeking a Modular Construction Superintendent responsible for the day-to-day supervision of modular construction projects ensuring they are delivered safely efficiently and in line with company standards. This role involves hands-on leadership from pre-site planning through final installation emphasizing scheduling safety compliance subcontractor coordination and quality assurance. The Superintendent will work closely with the Modular Project Manager trades and other stakeholders to maintain workflow continuity and resolve site challenges quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all phases of modular construction including assembly delivery and on-site installation of modular units.
Coordinate trades subcontractors and suppliers to maintain workflow and keep projects on schedule.
Conduct daily site inspections to ensure adherence to safety procedures project specifications and quality standards.
Identify and resolve construction-related issues such as material shortages weather delays or site access problems.
Track material usage and site equipment ensuring availability and proper storage of tools and resources.
Maintain accurate daily reports including site activities safety documentation progress updates and incident reports.
Lead by example enforcing safety professionalism and quality workmanship on-site.
Provide mentorship to apprentices and junior team members reinforcing modular construction best practices.
Serve as the key point of contact for site-related issues keeping the Modular Project Manager informed of progress delays and logistical concerns.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in modular or prefabricated construction.
In-depth understanding of modular building practices systems and delivery methods.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams under tight timelines.
Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and safety regulations.
Proficiency with reading blueprints interpreting technical specifications and digital reporting tools.
Valid certifications: CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 (First Aid Fall Protection considered an asset).
Must have valid driver s license and access to reliable transportation.
Willingness to travel across Alberta and Western Canada as required.
