The Opportunity

BlueScope Distribution is looking for a Team Leader to join the team based in Albury. BlueScope Distribution is a single-source provider of product processing and service solutions in steel and aluminium product. The business supports customers in a variety of industries and works with them to help deliver projects on time and to specification. BlueScope Distribution supports its customers by helping them find the freedom to do what they do best.

In this hands-on role you will be leading and providing guidance to your team. You will motivate and develop a high performing team to ensure our products and services are of the highest quality to meet our customers needs now and in the future.

What Will You Do

In addition to the standard warehousing duties including forklift and crane operations pick/packing and machine operations you will:

• ensure shift activities are operating in accordance with applicable safety and company procedures
• undertake training & development activities to support and upskill staff
• conduct regular site walks to provide proactive support and guidance to staff
• plan prioritise and execute continuous safety and operations improvement activities for your team

As an experienced leader with a passion for people and continuous improvement you will bring:

• have experience working within an operations warehousing or logistics environment
• demonstrated experience leading engaging and coaching collaborative teams
• have an ability to translate business objectives to clear actions and outcomes for your team
• a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others
