We are now recruiting Packaging Operatorsto join our diverse team in Westport on a 6 months initial contract. As our newest operator you will ensure the highest quality and safety compliance standards while gaining exposure to new and advanced technology in various areas of production filling and packaging. This role would suit career changers or anyone wishing to gain valuable experience within the pharmaceutical industry. You will operate high-speed equipment for the manual and/or automated assembly and packaging of pharmaceutical products ensuring adherence to specifications.
Flexibility around shifts isessentialfor these roles as it is to cover a day shift or a night shift.
Note: Initial 3-4 months training for the night shift will be completed on day shift.

Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a clean and organized work area during and at the end of each shift.
- Assist Abbvie in achieving environmental health and safety goals by working safely and observing all general plant and department safety policies.
- Report safety issues and raise observations on the e-achieve system.
- Operate high-speed equipment for the manual or automated assembly and packaging of pharmaceutical products: ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Conduct in-process checks on production orders.
- Operates high-speed flow wrap equipment to support continuous workflow.
- Complete Line Clearances on packaging lines in accordance with SOPs and cGMPs.
- Perform all assigned duties according to departmental SOPs and cGMPs.
- Remain current on proper procedures by reviewing current revised and new SOPs relating to the job and to the department.
- Complete and remain current with all required cGMP and safety training.
- Complete assigned training items on the ELMS on time.
- Perform tasks in the packaging of product to provide on-time delivery to customers.
- Complete all required documentation associated with the packaging of product.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Leaving cert or equivalent qualification required.
- Mechanical experience aptitude or interest would be an advantage
- Ability to build strong relationships and work within cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and presentations skills both written and oral. Articulate the quality requirements in a clear concise and persuasive manner.
- Aptitude to Plan & Organise work schedules with an analytical mindset.
- Good decision making to identify and understand issues problems and opportunities whilst providing a viable solution.
- Adaptability to work in a fast dynamic environment whilst adjusting readily to meet unexpected constraints.
- Drive high energy maturity and ability to work under pressure deliver results and overcome obstacles.
- Team player who can collaborate with others to achieve organizational targets and goals.
