Nail Technician - Part Time - (Harrah’s Gulf Coast)

POSITION: Nail Technician DEPARTMENT: SPA

Job Summary:

The nail technicians are responsible for performing quality manicures with detailed cuticle care nail shaping and finishing polish. The services offered must be in accordance to salon service standards while maintaining the cleanliness of work stations according to the department standards and Mississippi State Board of Cosmetology Regulations.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive enthusiastic helpful attitude with all guests and team members
• Ensures an exceptional guest experience by providing consistent quality treatments manicures and pedicures
• Demonstrates exceptional knowledge of spa and salon services as well as products used in services including their ingredients and benefits

• Properly care for equipment and product used
• Participates in retail inventories
• Stock professional supplies in dispensaries
• Report any service issues immediately
• Assist as a spa attendant when needed
• Reports lost and stolen items immediately
• Maintains a meticulous professional appearance
• Checks fitness equipment for safety issues
• Receive maintain fold and restock linen daily
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory departmental and company policies.
• Suggests players in Caesars Rewards Caesars Rewards App Play by CR and Caesars Rewards Visa.
• Suggests products services and experiences to guests.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Must pass a drug test.
• Must be able to initiate and engage in conversation in a professional and friendly manner.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be willing to participate in on-going training
• Maintain knowledge of current property events promotions and attractions.
• Must have the ability to grow clientele and suggest retail.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must obtain a current Mississippi Cosmetology License recognized by the state and the local governing board
• Comfortable working in a fast paced dynamic environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
• Must present a well-groomed appearance.
• Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements
• Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrahs Gulf Coast team members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds
• Able to accept direction of Senior Leadership

Physical Mental & Environmental Demands:

• Able to read write and speak English sufficiently to perform job.
• Available to work any shift holidays and weekends.
• Responds to visual and aural cues.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods at least 9 hours
• Able to sit stoop reach and bend.
• Able to lift 20 pounds.
