Job Description

Summary

The Central Employee Services Division (CESD) in the Department of Human Resources (DHR) seeks an experienced and task oriented professional to serve as an Employee Wellness Program Manager (Project/Program Manager II) for the Balanced You Well-being team.

The Employee Wellness Program Manager plays a vital role in supporting the well-being of all King County employees. This position reports to the Employee Social Impact and Well-Being Manager and will manage and support various wellness programming operations and initiatives while collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless program delivery across the Balanced You portfolio. Specifically the incumbent is responsible for coordinating on-site health clinics employee engagement activities performance metric tracking and data management and operational logistics for the Balanced You team to help ensure every King County employee has the opportunity to thrive.

This position is represented by Teamsters Local 117/Professional & Technical and is classified as a Project/Program Manager II; class code: 243214.

Work Schedule
This non-represented position is non-exempt from the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act and is therefore overtime eligible. Employees are paid on a bi-weekly schedule every other Thursday comprising a 40-hour workweek normally 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Eligible applicants must demonstrate a minimum of 3 years of experience in program/project management coordination operations or logistical experience with knowledge of project/program management principles; OR
Any equivalent combination of experience and education which provides the applicant with the desired skills knowledge and ability required to perform the work.

Teleworking Requirement
The Department of Human Resources has a hybrid workforce with employees working both onsite and from home. The work associated with this position is currently being performed in a hybrid fashion including teleworking complemented with onsite work and meetings as needed. Frequency of onsite work will vary based on business and operational needs. Employees must reside in Washington State and within a reasonable distance to their King County worksite to respond to workplace reporting requirements. King County has a robust collection of tools and resources to support working remotely.

Employees will be provided with a County issued laptop and must maintain a home workspace with an internet connection where they can reliably perform work and remain available and responsive during scheduled work hours.
