Job Description
The Family Counseling Center (FCC) provides confidential and professional counseling for children and their families. In addition to treating issues associated with foster care and adoption licensed and license-eligible therapists treat a wide range of childhood issues including infant mental health positive parenting grief/loss divorce issues anger issues ADD/ADHD anxiety and school adjustment issues among others.
We are currently seeking aChild and Family Therapistwho will be responsible for providing a variety of clinical interventions to the children in KID programs and whenever possible their families as well. Therapists offer individual therapy to child clients and sibling(s) group and family therapy in addition to support and advocacy to parents/guardians/caretakers. Therapists also work within a multidisciplinary treatment team and therapeutic services are conducted primarily in the community or in the program where the child is placed.
Skills/ Requirements
- Must have a Masters Degree in Psychology Mental Health Counseling Family Therapy or related field from an accredited college or university.
- Two (2) years of experience and Florida Licensure preferred.
- Must have a Valid Florida Drivers License with full-time access to a reliable vehicle (proof of vehicle insurance is required.)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
